SS25 - THE FIRST

SS25 - The First. 

This collection drew inspiration from core aestetics from my childhood. As a child, I studied at the Royal Danish ballet school for almost 10 years. There are many elements to the world that is the theater and the poeple that work in it. I wanted to tell a story of a boy from the theater rather than the story of a ballet dancer. I wanted to show this world of theater, that I love, through my eyes. 

Going through childhood photos I quickly established a sense of mood. Curious, beautiful, delicate. I took items we all know and love and infused it with the tale of this boy. Raw egdes from all the insides seams of the costumes I wore as a kid, satin ribbon from the womens point shoes that I was so fasinated by but wasnt allowed to use, fabric flower decorations from the classical ballet sets, exposed legs, beautiful bodies. 

The theater is also a secret world. Its a world of competition, friends turning ennemies. Its a place wear dreams are realized and dreams are destroyed. The theater is full of joy and full of sorrow. Therefore it was important for me that this collection had some destict darkness as well and lightness. I wanted it to feel open yet somehow restraining. I find true beauty in this.
